House of Sand and Fog (2003)good northern California real estate thriller I have seen this film a couple of times now at home. Its pretty powerful. A lady looses her home. A couple buy it. She wants it back.
They don't want to let go of it. They are Iranian immigrants. Its the girls own fault she lost the house in the first place (drugs addictions) Ben Kingsly is very menacing in this film. He is determined to keep the house or make a really huge profit.
The ending is disastrous. (and to me the ending is artificially excessive) however I was intrigued by all this and have seen the film twice. four stars.
