Review of House of Games (1987) by Kjetil H — 23 Oct 2009
Saw this stylish film when it came out back in 1987 and it blew me away. Watching it now I look for the "tells". The problem is its like the second time you see "The Sixth Sense"--the surprise is gone.
Yet its still an effective, interesting film and is full of great characters and memorable moments. For my money Mantagna and Mamet have never been better in film. If you have never seen this, see it!
