Review of House of Games (1987) by Chad M — 29 May 2008
A case study in amorality. Everything is about the angle to make the play. Mamet's stilted dialog, delivered in a career performance by Mangegna, is the highpoint. Not as "theatrical" or obtuse as some of Mamet's other work, this remains my favorite from him.
Infinitely quotable. "Everybody gets something out of every transaction.".
