Review of House of Games (1987) by Brian H — 03 Jul 2010
Some parts feel amateurish which bottlenecks the overall experience, while the better parts lift high above the rest. Actors confident as you'll ever see, settings laid so effectively you could lose yourself in them for days, and dialogue that snaps like a bullwhip.
The originality in it all almost makes never want to see a blockbuster again.
