Review of House at the End of the Street (2012) by Margarita S — 27 May 2013
The first 2/3 of this movie is turtle paced with filler scenes and weak story development. The last 1/3 tries to kick it into high gear with a series of adrenaline pumping gimmicks, but the movie is too far gone at this point to be able to save it.
Jennifer Lawrence plays Jennifer Lawrence - She has that flat, deadpanned articulation and facial expression she has in all of her films. Perhaps the most disappointing appearance is by Elisabeth Shue. This was a poor project to have selected to resurrect her career.
