Review of House at the End of the Street (2012) by Ian G — 08 Jun 2013
Pretty much a standard horror/thriller that rejigs a couple of familar beats with an alright twist, probably just suffers from hitting a lot of classic tropes without hitting on any marks that we havent seen before with the mother and daughter constantly moving and trying to reconnect while living next door to a house with ghosts, and the Norman Bates like neighbour.
Probably going to be remembered for if anything another strong performance by its lead Jennifer Lawrence with a unccanny naturalistic delivery and feeling at home in front of the camera. A jump here and there but horror light.
