Warning: The House at the End of the Street is NOT a horror movie. At best it's a made for TV quality 'thriller'. I made the terrible mistake of picking this out as a movie to watch with my friends at a Halloween party.
You could show this film to your Grandma without risk of her being scared or disgusted - and I don't mean that as a compliment. Jennifer Lawrence's committed performance is the only shining light in this by the numbers drama.
The rest of the cast is as weak as the script. To be avoided - unless you want to watch a thriller that won't offend your mother.
