Review of Hour of the Wolf (1968) by Eric C — 15 Aug 2007
The sequence of the boy's body floating slightly below the surface of the ocean is going to keep me awake for a while. The Artist faces what a lot of artist face, the feeling that one can never portray what one wants to portray, and it drives him to the edge.
Great storytelling etched with little sequences that throws the audience off beat and makes them uneasy, Hour of the Wolf is a terrific addition to a genre that has suffered greatly.
