Review of Hour of the Wolf (1968) by Nia E — 20 Aug 2009
Hour of the Wolf is a wonderfully atmospheric and frightening film, albeit incredibly hard to decipher. Without any clear indication of what's real and what's not, who's lying and who's being lied to, who's seeing things and who isn't, this film is, at times, frustrating, However, the whole things is absolutely beautiful to watch, with the isolated island once more providing a stark setting for dark events.
