Review of Hotel Transylvania (2012) by Sahara K — 07 Jun 2013
Kooky but cool movie. I found it mostly funny but it also had emotional depth, even at times said emotional depth was unoriginal, the whole outsider comes, meets girl/boy, she/he likes and falls in love has been done a million times.
But what this film had was that it more focus on the parent which was interesting. What was also interesting was how the blended modern and the traditional take of The Vampire which is most of the jokes arises and the references to pop culture, such as name dropping the band 'Slipknot' was also entertaining.
Overall a good film with a good soundtrack to go along with it, which makes it good for both young and old audiences.
