Shattering, revelatory, mandatory viewing. Does an excellent job at recreating an atmosphere, time, and place, with tense, lightning-fast pacing and Don Cheadle at his best. As a movie, it lacks the flat out emotional resonance of similar films, notably Schindler's List, due to its straightforward and mainstream production, which sacrifices artistic quality for widespread accessibility.
Then again, that's what a movie like this needs. Now go do something.
