Based on true events Hotel Rwanda tells the story of hotel manager Hutu Paul Rusesabagina, who helped refugees to take shelter in his establishment when the Rwandan military begin to target civilians in a campaign of ethnic cleansing against the Tutsi minority.
Lead by an excellent performance by Don Cheadle, this is a harrowing movie that depicts just how brutal humanity can be. It’s not an easy watch at times, but it is a gripping drama.
