Review of Hot Tub Time Machine (2010) by Paul P — 17 Dec 2011
Seeing Cusack going back to his roots in a mock-80s comedy had me at hello. Crispin Glover's presence alone is hilarious and the suspense on how he'll lose his arm is very funny. Craig Robinson is very funny, the movie gives him little to nothing to work with but he still gives me more than a few nuggets of gold.
Rob Corddry is a funny guy but he continues to be nails on a chalkboard in nearly every movie I see him in. His character is just too repulsive for me to laugh at and that is quite an accomplishment. And the movie fails because they give his character every joke in the damn movie.
The 80s jokes and cameos all work and surprisingly don't get old.
