Review of Hot Fuzz (2007) by Calan P — 26 Jan 2014
Hot Fuzz is another project from Edgar Wright starring the duo of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. I'm not a huge fan of these guys. They are unable to balance humor and seriousness in their movies. Hot Fuzz is a funny take on the buddy cop movie genre.
It makes fun of these cliches in a humorous way with references to Point Break and Bad Boys II. I still thought that more humor should have been in this film, and that it didn't have to be so gruesome.
The ending twist was also rather dumb. Still Hot Fuzz is a thrilling movie.
