Review of Hot Fuzz (2007) by Sanchayan S — 22 Jul 2014
"Hot Fuzz" is a brilliant take by Director Edgar Wright , whose brilliant scene set up and screenplay goes at par with good cinematography and over the top action sequences. As usual vibrant performances from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost , this cop-slash comedy is both humorous and scary at times - Edgar Wright clearly gives the elements of what cinema should be - entertainment.
However unlike its predecessor "Shaun of the Dead" which had carefully constructed action sequences , the last 30 minutes of this picture drags a little bit too much with recurrent repetitive action sequences and over the top emotional drama that many tends to overlook amidst the brilliant performances.
