Review of Hot Coffee (2011) by Anthony P — 08 Nov 2011
Highly informative & infuriating HBO documentary film about our current civil judicial system in this country. Whatever it is you truly think you know about our legal system, our constitutional rights involving the courts, "tort reform", corporations' rights, trial lawyers, & son on.
..think again. Odds are you probably don't know shit! For at least a few decades now, "we the people" have been misinformed, manipulated, & just straight lied to about how exactly our judicial system works for us.
..or more accurately...against us. There has been a very conscious effort in the last couple of decades by lobbyists, corporations of all industries, politicians from both sides of the aisle, & even state & federal judges to keep the general public OUT of the court system itself, to limit the damages we can actually receive for being harmed, to limit our rights to sue most companies, & to just basically manipulate public opinion on this subject so fuckin' much that we end up voting & even believing AGAINST our own interests.
Now available on DVD...please rent it as soon as you can. No bullshit...EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THIS DOC! Also available on HBO GO & ON-Demand services I think.
