Review of Hostel: Part II (2007) by Kim J — 27 Mar 2011
A good twist ending. Not as memorable as the first film. probably for two reasons. A. there's no crazy getaway. B. You kinda already know what to expect after watching the first one. I do, however give Roth gratitude for inventing new ways in killing people yet I wish he would either invent a new spin on the franchise or start a new story.
The first movie was amazing. Pretty much a throback to the classic snuff films but instead of the audience saying, "my god, that's horrible," they're saying, "that looks too real, how did they pull that off?" I would highly recommend seeing the first and if you're a die hard fan of the idea, I guess part 2 isn't uncharted waters you can always dip your feet into but you can sure give it a try, maybe it'll be scarier because you know what to expect and then some.
