Review of Hostage (2005) by Kei T — 07 Jun 2009
The book it self is kind of a cliched B action story, so it would play true to form that the movie be a cliched B action movie, do not worry it does not disappoint. Bruce Willis plays a down and out cop that get's put in a situation where he has a chance to get his "mojo" back how many Bruce willis movies have that as a plot line? Mercury Rising, 16 Blocks, sin city I am sure the lis goes on for him and other action stars.
Any who the only person worth watching in this movie is Ben Foster he plays a sociopathic psychopath from the Marlyighn Manson, Nine Inch Nails generation. He is the only character in the film that has a dynamic personality and that changes from a gray side to a totally pitch black scary side.
If you want to see Bruce willis in a bad ass action role watch Die Hard and leave this one on the shelf.
