After I had built up my expectations for this, I was bitterly disappointed. The Horsemen had so much potential with an interesting storyline and with several (I say several, possibly one or two) crediable characters, but it failed miserably at the last hurdle.

Dennis Quaid is a wonderful actor, but I couldn't get myself to like him in this. His character was so cliche, the greiving detective, neglects children, gets wrapped up in case etcetera. It was pretty dull. During the film you expect some big finale ending, but that was not so. I would liked to have seen some more of the plot involved with the website as it wasn't really investigated further. I think it may have added something more to the story.

However, despite its drawbacks - of which there are plenty - it does offer some cheap thrills in terms of gore scenes. The teeth on the plate really made me cringe. Some good directing forced me to add an extra star onto my rating, otherwise I would have been pushed to even give it a two.
