Review of Horse Feathers (1932) by Travis H — 22 Jan 2007
I've never been too much of a Marx brothers fan (though I have to admit I've yet to see Duck Soup), and while their style of humor still didn't get me here, it isn't difficult to admire the perfect pacing and timing that their scenes have here. One scene in an apartment must have at least 25 entrances and exits within an eight minute period or so, and the movie just moves right along perfectly (and yeah, I even caught myself laughing out loud a little). This was a whimsical little film, and while I never fell into fits with the jokes, it often put a smile on my face.
