Review of Horrible Bosses 2 (2014) by Steve F — 17 Feb 2015
Horrible Bosses was one of those films that cashed in on the success of the Hangover comedy series just for outrageous situations and vulgar humour, only major difference being focusing on the office politics situations as opposed to a night out in Vegas, alas with this tepid sequel, take the boys out of the office looking to become in charge of their employment future having their Shower buddy idea ripped off of them, it seems to lack what the original film had going for it.
Bateman, Day and comedy seem to be really just overkilling the naivete card here in terms of how come we keep falling for these guys getting the better of us, anbd you can seen any interesting twists coming from a mile away.
Aniston fortunately bring a little more fun to the proceedings returning as the nymphette dentist threatening the group, but the other good role belonging to Spacey is merely a glorified cameo and none of the new cast members really are engaging, just existing to service the plot.
Dull.
