Review of Horrible Bosses 2 (2014) by James D — 25 Feb 2015
The whole cast is back, with some new familiar faces, but they just couldn't repeat the hilarity that made "Horrible Bosses" the comedy hit it was. It's quite funny, that's without a doubt, but I feel like this is a film that might've been rushed and possibly not needed at all.
Charlie Day is hilarious, Bateman and Sudeikis of course make you laugh, but Chris Pine and Jamie Foxx's characters steal the limelight and just about every scene that they're in. That being said, I just don't know what this lacked, perhaps it's a film that will grow on you like most comedies these days, and comedic sequels, it it just lacked something, something small.
Never the less, it's funny, give it a shot and go in watching with an open mind. That way you don't get disappointed as much and might end up loving it. 3/5 JD.
