Review of Horrible Bosses 2 (2014) by Cade H — 19 Jul 2015
Horrible Bosses 2 was the same type of comedy as the original, only the story around it was not as good. The first film was so intriguing because the idea of each main character wanting to kill their boss kept it interesting and provided a slew of great characters to deal with.
Bosses 2 kept it simple with a rather unique kidnapping to swindle money and even though some of the "bosses" from the original made appearances, they were very small parts. The banter between the 3 leads was great as usual and Charlie Day stands out as absolutely hilarious and I just want to see more of him.
There are some rather ridiculous moments and some parts where the comedy is lacking when it should be strong but overall I laughed enough to make it enjoyable. If you like the first movie you will most certainly laugh almost as much and enjoy seeing the 3 friends once again try to pull off a crime they know nothing about.
