Review of Horns (2013) by Steve W — 27 Oct 2014
Horns doesn't really fill in the basics. Its a hybrid movie, combining dark humour, supernatural elements, and a love story. The dark humour stuff isn't explored enough, so the long flashbacks of childhood days and the murder mystery are the biggest plot fillers.
The murderer isn't very well hidden, so that aspect lacks suspense. Also, the movie is a bit "out there", not quite meshing the genres quite together. The acting and visual effects are decent, but this mish-mash doesn't have a lot to offer.
