Review of Hope and Glory (1987) by Brody M — 07 Jun 2010
A funny, touching and at times, sentimental story of a young boy and his family, growing up in the London suburbs during the Second World War.
It is a portrayal of all that was once good about England; pride, dignity, stoicism, courage, generosity - and which is now, sadly, in the most part, long gone.
A beautiful film. A must-see.
