I consider Hoosiers to be the greatest sports movie of all time. Gene Hackman gives the best performance of his career and is backed up by outstanding performances by Barbara Hershey and Dennis Hopper.
The cinematography is also great and the music is spectacular. Hoosiers is perfect and one of the most inspirational movies I have ever seen. I think the theme of this movie is second chances and that is what makes it so great.
Hoosiers goes beyond basketball and is one of my ten favorite movies ever.
