Review of Hoosiers (1986) by Frances H — 09 Mar 2015
This sports flick just didn't grab me the way others of the genre have in the past. I had heard such good things about it, I just expected more--more character build up, more interplay of the team members and how the coach worked with them.
Instead we see more of how he worked with the drunken father he took in a as assistant coach. Frankly, I thought that Remember The Titans was a much better sports film. This one just didn't grab and hold my interest, and I found the characters rather flat and stereotypical.
A big disappointment.
