Surprisingly Hoosiers rises above expectations with superb performances from Gene Hackman and Dennis Hopper. Hoosiers brings together all the clichés we expect from sports films such as "Remember the Titans".
Its real value comes from its characters having substance in dealing with the issues we all come to faced at some stage in our lives.
