Review of Hooper (1978) by Wayne Z — 25 Aug 2008

I remember watching this movie as a kid and then watching it again staright after as I had enjoyed it so much. I hadn't seen it for years so got it on DVD and it's still a winner! Burt Reynolds is a stuntman (Hooper) who is getting a little long in the tooth but wants to pull off just one more stunt (the biggest and best stunt ever performed - a huge canyon jump in a super-powered car!) before he retires, though it may well cost him his life! I really like the fact that he is addicted to pills but nothing negative is made of it, unlike most films where some moral lesson would have to be learnt.
