Review of Hoop Dreams (1994) by Anthony W — 07 Oct 2007
The process of reviewing great films is often taxing, contradictory, and utterly disappointing as one must attempt to summarize a great deal of the films content along with the subjective emotion felt while viewing the work.
Hoop Dreams, for me, is a film that I believe contains objective beauty but at the same time, is so personal to me (for reasons yet to be known) that I find it difficult to convey my emotions about the film.
The only advice I can give is to simply watch it, and allow it to consume you.
