Review of Hoop Dreams (1994) by Flike S — 08 Nov 2008
A wonderful look into the world of two inner city kids trying to make it the way their families never did. With their struggle to make it in the world of basketball, we see the two youngsters also dealing with social and domestic struggles.
One of the strongest points is the exploration into the extreme pressure and expectations put on young athletes. We see the privileges that may or may not come out of all the hard work the athletes endure.
