Review of Hook (1991) by Alastair H — 23 Dec 2011
This movie is right in the middle for me because it has great laughs and it's directed by Steven Spielberg, but that all a side it is very childish at times and kind of irritating in some scenes. When it comes to acting performances Dustin Hoffman played a great Captain Hook he was evil and he was vicious.
Now Robin Williams as Peter Pan was only okay for me because in the beginning in the movie when he was Peter Banning I thought he played that part good, but when he became Peter Pan Robin Williams started to act like a child which was weird to watch.
Julia Roberts I absolutely couldn't stand in this movie she was annoying and I didn't think she played Tinkerbell well at all. So yeah this movie has it's flaws, but if your into family movies I would give it a watch because no doubt about it kids will love this movie and maybe some adults because there some great scenes in this movie adults can relate too.
