Review of Hook (1991) by Luke E — 06 Oct 2015
What if Peter Pan grew up, heres another answer from Spielberg's Idea. Although this film is very lively and fun to watch, its also quite bloated and overstretched. Dustin Hoffman as Hook is good and tries not to think too much about about Disney's version.
Robin Williams brings more of his charismatic side to things here, While it may not be a great Peter Pan film, its still a very entertaining and deeply affecting film with rich subject matter consistent with Spielberg's other films.
It's also quite a low point on Spielberg's career but its great fun for the whole family.
