Review of Homicidal (1961) by Al M — 31 Jul 2010
As he also does in Straight-Jacket, William Castle attempts to cash in on Hitchcock's Psycho with his own film, Homicidal. But frankly, Homicidal works really well and its ending is perfect without being obvious.
Silly, campy, and terribly acted, but well-made, Homicidal will delight fans of Castle and 60s horror cinema. Castle takes from Hitchcock and provides enough of his own twist to make it a genuinely enjoyable little horror film.
