Review of Homicidal (1961) by Michael T — 28 Oct 2009
Why have I never heard of this film? William Castle has never been known for great films. The Tingler, House on Haunted Hill, 13 Ghosts, while all fun films, were made more for their gimmicks and shock value than for critical acceptance.
That being said, Homicidal hits you like a ton of bricks. It delivers all of the expected castle elements and is able to be more than just campy fun. A complete rip off of Psycho, but still a great film with a KILLER ending! Very fun film!
