Review of Home Run (2013) by Laurie H — 20 Apr 2013
What an inspiring movie! It reaches our hearts at so many different levels - a childhood pain that, if not dealt with, gets carried on into adulthood to reek havoc at every level of our lives -our career, our family, our significant relationships.
How we choose to deal with the pain of our past is the focus of this movie. But even if we make bad choices along the way, whether through rage, shame, substance abuse or any form of addiction, this movie shows us there is hope - there is a way out of the destruction we have created for ourselves.
The depiction of Celebrate Recovery in this movie is accurate and portrays a real program In churches throughout the country and around the world that is helping thousands of people find freedom from their past.
Freedom is possible, and this movie points the way and will offer hope to anyone who is struggling with any kind of hurt hang-up or habit. Everyone knows someone who is struggling. Take them to this movie as a gift.
It will inspire you also.
