Review of Home Run (2013) by Danielle S — 08 May 2013
Home Run isn't what most people probably think. 'It's just another low-budget Christian movie with bad acting, bad lighting and bad everything.' To those types I say perrish the thought! It is brilliantly and beautifully executed, plus has the unique ability to connect with individuals almost immediately.
From the first moments of the movie you're captivated, wondering, waiting to see what a certain scene means or how it connects to the main character. Then before you know it, you're close to tears or laughing because of a super funny and ill-placed, completely unexpected quote.
This movie has charm, class, warmth and realism with a message that even the worst of us can change for the better. It's a heart movie and not just lines read from a script. The best part is that when you leave the theater, you'll still "feel" the movie.
It stays with you. Now that kind of movie will always be a "must see"!
