Review of Home of the Brave (1949) by Kimball Y — 07 Jan 2008
A movie not about war but about what happens to soldiers after war. *sigh* I thought this movie would be long and boring. But a few points in the movie did get to me. The scene in the movie theater and when Samuel L.
Jackson in talking to the psychologist. It sounds to me like it was taken straight from my brain, my friends from war, and other soldiers who back from the middle east. How can you explain how it feels? This movie does a good job of that.
It is hard to explain, especially this war. I dont know, maybe this movie was made for soldiers, not the average civilian. Because soldiers are fighting this war and going back to make sure what they have learned can be used to save the new soldiers going in.
The rest of America is waiting to see who will be America's next Top Model or Idol. Oh yea, 50 cent needs to kill himself for the acting he did in this movie. I give this movie 4 stars but dont expect much.
To me this movie was a statement not entertainment.
