Review of Home for the Holidays (1995) by Justine L — 25 Oct 2007
We see the classic movies of home meant to make us feel all warm inside with their perfect, Rockwellian archetypes; though what we see with this is the beautiful imperfection that comes with life. Here is a woman who has just lost her job, a single mother, a daughter on the brink of losing her virginity, and in the midst of odd relatives; and yet, she somehow comes home.
You're crying by the end, male or female, because it tells the truth about life. Holly Hunter is amazing in her honesty!
