Review of Home Alone: The Holiday Heist (2012) by Murad Z — 31 Jul 2016
It's really not good, in fact it's pretty bad. This is the fifth and final instalment in the Home Alone franchise and it is disappointing. This film is all around badly acted and the plot just wasn't good and didn't impress me.
Home Alone 1 and Home Alone 2 were good and I enjoyed them both, but when Home Alone 3 and 4 came out I think that's when the Home Alone franchise was just killed. I don't think anyone could replace Macaulay Culkin as the main kid who is Home Alone.
So because Home Alone 3 and Home Alone 4 were bad I didn't expect this film to be much better and unfortunately I was correct it, this film was no better than the previous 2 films. Pete Hewitt directed this film and he also directed Garfield and that really worried me.
I didn't dislike Garfield but I wasn't impressed either. This film may have been a little better if Pete Hewitt didn't direct it. Disappointing.
