A winning family Christmas movie about a boy (Culkin) accidentally left home alone when his family travels to Paris for the Christmas holidays. Culkin is totally endearing in his breakout role. Also, there is some great chemistry between Pesci and Stern, playing bumbling thieves who fall into every imaginative boobytrap conceived by the young boy.
Great slaptick to be found here. The warm sentimental payout and John Williams' lovely score are the icing on the cake.
