Review of Home Alone (1990) by Sarah V — 01 Apr 2013
This movie is a christmas classic, believe it or not. McCauley Culkin carries this movie extremely well, especially for an 8-year-old kid. The Pranks that Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern fall for, are timeless and priceless.
Pesci and Stern are just phenomenal actors. Catherine Ohara also delivers a great performance as the frantic mother who is destined to get back home to her 8-year-old son. The movie itself features a lot of violent slapstick, and may seem a little mean-spirited at times, but the slapstick is just hilarious, and when the movie's all over, it turns out to be a pretty wonderful and touching story about being together with your family on Christmas.
