Review of Home (2017) by Late R — 15 Aug 2017
Although it does have a few sweet moments, 'Home' is generic in nearly every sense, with an uninspired and predictable plot, a simple character design and cheesy dialogue. Casting Jim Parsons and Rihanna as the on-screen duo was a great choice, but the most interesting thing about the whole experience is the unusual music, performed mostly by Rihanna herself, that feels like it could be right at Home in the charts as opposed to an animated kids movie.
And I suppose that is the take-away from this, it IS a kids movie that was made for kids alone -- adults will probably find themselves mostly uninterested.
