Leos Carax relishes in driving the audience mad. What was this movie trying to say? Was it weird for the sake of being weird? Is it a deconstruction of the acting process? Life is an act that we all play? I'm grasping at straws, because I have no idea of what the hell I just saw or what it's trying stay if anything at all.
Being perplexing isn't enough, there has to be some sort of story or something we can latch onto. This gives us nothing other than, "Just go with it.".
