Review of Holy Motors (2012) by Richard M — 05 May 2013

Apparently the director of this film has previous for making surreal movies. Well he's certainly stayed true to form with Holy Motors. A French bloke is driven around Paris in a limo while he changes outfits and takes parts in various unconnected 'scenes' throughout the day: an old woman begging, motion-captured CGI fantasy demon sex, and a leprechaun running around a cemetery eating flowers, biting people's fingers off, kidnapping Eva Mendes and shouting at his manhood. And that's just in the first 30 minutes. If someone could explain the purpose of it all, I'd be most grateful.
