Review of Holy Motors (2012) by P. P — 01 Sep 2014
A visual phantasmogoria reminiscent of the more fantastical films of Fellini. I was confounded but curious by the host of characters on display - a gypsy crone, a ninja warrior/reptilian sex god, a flower eating troglodyte, a shadowy assassin sent to kill his own dopplganger, thwarted lover and, my favourite, a dying old man.
A shape-shifting fever dream of becoming, unraveling, starting all over again.
