Review of Holy Motors (2012) by Dan K — 21 Jan 2013
Holy Motors was nowhere as crazy as I expected, in the sense that its narrative worked pretty normally but I loved every weird minute of it. I love that film works on its own logic, it's often really hilarious and surprising and just, I don't know that I expected it to be THAT fun.
I won't even begin to try and decipher what Carax's film means (even if I have ideas ) but the trip itself is so enjoyable I could care less.
