With a title that only references the city that the events took place, you know there's not much substance here. I would have felt better if they either made a movie about investigating the death, or the events leading up to the death, instead of doing a movie with both.
For my money, if you want to watch a detective movie set in LA, watch "Chinatown", not this film.
