Review of Hollywoodland (2006) by Jeff H — 23 May 2008
Had some nice ideas as far as what could have happened to Reeves, but never actually got to those points with a certain motive to make viewers choose what they thought happened. Some decent acting, but there could have been more emotion shown within the characters.
It picked up at times, but the tone overall seemed very low and slow-paced. I guess thats what they were going for when trying to make a noir/ detective story, but there needs to be some sort of heightened tone in there.
