Review of Hollywood Ending (2002) by Adam E — 21 Feb 2009
Hollywood Ending is one of Allen's recent best and, along with the likes of Anything Else and Scoop, is strangely underrated. The hilarious story is brilliantly told and Woody has a ball with his neurotic has-been film director persona, offering us numerous great comedy moments.
The Téa Leoni/Woody relationship, however, is pretty hard to buy but that's a minor distraction in a film that's otherwise very clever and great fun. A must for Woody fans.
